Pot of Honey and Oats Recipe

This is a easy one, thank goodness. I needed a nap after those Soft Pretzels.

This week is the 74th birthday of The Hobbit, it was printed on September 21, 1937. Seventy-four years of amazing.

Have a cookie and celebrate!

You will need:

1 cup honey
1 egg
3/4 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Beat together butter, honey, egg, water, and vanilla until creamy.

Add combined remaining ingredients; mix well.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. You can use parchment paper or a baking mat.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Yum!
