You will need:
1 cup uncooked white rice
2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/4 pound bacon, cut into strips
1/8 cup soy sauce
1/2 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas, thawed
2 green onions, chopped
Refrigerate rice while you cook everything else.
BACON! Cook the bacon and chop up the bacon into small pieces.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Add the chilled rice bacon, frozen peas, seasoning, onions and egg.
Place on medium heat until egg is thoroughly cooked and everything in completely heated.
Remove from heat and stir in soy sauce.
One of the many reasons I love this blog is I find myself making recipes I know I would have never normally tried. I had no ideas fried rice was this easy to make.
I fear my local take out place will suffer for this discovery.
