I assure you...
No dogs were hurt in the making of this recipe.
1/2 c ketchup
1/4 c prepared yellow mustard
1 c crumbs or your choice
Grind them up to a powder, I left mine in large chunks and the bigger pieces fell off in baking.
1 (16 ounce) package hot dogs
I used saltines but i wasn't very happy with it. I believe it would much much better with:
Thick Cut or Ruffled Chips (the chips in the photo were too thin and turned mushy)
Flavored Crackers
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Stir together ketchup and mustard on a plate until mixed.
Place the cracker crumbs in a shallow bowl.
Roll each hot dog in the ketchup mixture, then roll in the crumbs to coat.
Place onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven until the hot dogs are hot on the inside, and crispy on the outside, 15 to 20 minutes.
I plan to try these again with a different coating. They were good!
Not quite a Yum!
More like a Y......um?
