Kothtri Ade ~ Star Wars The Old Republic

Kothtri was a type of spiced fruit juice that originated from the Bothan homeworld of Bothawui.
Can be served hot or cold.

You will need:

8 cups water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Using a large pot, mix the sugar and lemon juice.

Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger.

Stir.

Heat or stove-top until mixture begins to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Use a ladle to divide among 6 mugs or tall glasses.
You will have some sediment on the bottom.
You can run the ade through a strainer or a coffee filter to remove it.

Yum!

Serve hot on a windy cold day or over ice to cool down on a hot summer day.

VegeParsine ~ Star Wars The Old Republic

This dish is a gourmet form of the vegetable mash known as veghash. It is served in the traditional edible bubble-shaped bowls.

You will need:

2 large potatoes
1/2 c frozen broccoli
1/2 c shredded cheese
1/4 cup milk
2 tbs butter

I don't have a microwave, I put the potatoes in to oven on 350 degrees for an hour.
With a microwave: Microwave potatoes for 5-7 minutes until soft but still firm.
Please be careful, the tuber will be hot.

Slice the potatoes open and spoon out the soft insides.
I push the sides in to open the slice more without cutting it wide open.
Don't poke through the skin. Leave some around the inside edges for stability.

add the 1/4 cup milk, 2 tbs butter.
Mash the potatoes with a fork until smooth.

Add broccoli pieces and cheddar cheese. Mix.
I chopped up my broccoli into tiny pieces.

Spoon the mashed potato mixture back into the potato bowls.
You will have extra from adding the milk, butter, broccoli and cheese.
Not to worry, just pile it on top.

Sprinkle cheese on top and bake in oven for 15 minutes.
Until cheese has melted and browned.

 Yum!

Fried Nerfsteak with Peppered Gravey

You will need:
2 cubed steaks
2 c flour
3 tbs pepper
2 tbs garlic powder
1 tbs paprika
2 c milk

Mix together flour pepper, garlic powder, paprika.

Dredge the steaks through the flour mix. Let sit for 2 minutes then dredge again.

Set heat to medium, place 2 tbs oil or butter in a pan and cook on each side for 3 minutes.

Remove steaks from pan. Let pan cool. If you add the milk while the pan is still hot the milk will scorch.

Add 2 cups of cold milk to pan.

Use a whisk to stir the milk to get the crunchies off the bottom of the pan.
Stir until thickens.
Place the steak on a plate and spoon the gravy over it.
Add a drop of blue food coloring to make the "bantha milk" blue gravy.

Yum!

Spiced Nerf Milk ~ Star Wars The Old Republic

This was the first beverage I could buy from any cantina. It is a quick and easy drink that everyone in the family can enjoy.

I have yet to see a Nerf in game but she has. I borrowed this screen shot from her blog.

You will need:

4 cups milk (Tastes great with almond milk too.)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (I used rum extract, for funzies.)
4 teaspoons sugar (Splenda use 2 teaspoons.)

Combine milk, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg & sugar in a small saucepan.

Warm over medium heat, don't boil it.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.

 Yum!

Serve immediately.

This recipe will serve four Batman mugs. Yes, everything is better in a Batman mug.

Burrmillet Porridge ~ Star Wars

Other posts that go with this one

You will need:

3 c water

1 c milk
1 1/2 c rolled oats
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 apples peeled, cored and cubed
(any fruit can be substituted like peaches, mangoes, raisins, cranberries or bananas)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 eggs

4 tsp butter
3 tsp honey or brown sugar

In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil.

Combine milk, oats, apples and cinnamon; quickly stir into the boiling water.
Add fruit that needs to be softened now. Like apples or peaches.

Return the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the mixture is the desired thickness.

Remove from heat and add eggs one at a time and vanilla.
Do not worry about the eggs. The hot porridge will cook them completely.
Add fruit that does not need to be softened now. Like raisins, dried cranberries, or nuts.

Yum!

Divide the porridge between 4 bowls.
Top each one with a teaspoon of butter and drizzle with honey or brown sugar.

It is not mandatory to have a superhero coffee mug...

but it helps.

Corellian Endwa

You will need:

Sauce:
1 cup water
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic (I used 1 fresh clove)
2 tablespoons chopped green onion
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Coating on Chicken:
6 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons water

Chicken:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil

To make the sauce:

Pour water, orange juice, lemon juice and soy sauce into a saucepan and set over medium-high heat.

Stir in the brown sugar, ginger, garlic, chopped onion, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.

Remove from heat, and cool 10 to 15 minutes.

Place the chicken pieces into a resealable plastic bag or container. When contents of saucepan have cooled, pour 1 cup of sauce into bag.
Reserve the remaining sauce. Seal the bag, and refrigerate at least 2 hours or over night.

In another resealable plastic bag, mix the flour, salt, and pepper. Add the marinated chicken pieces, seal the bag, and shake to coat.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place chicken into the skillet, and brown on both sides.

Let the skillet cool down for 2 minutes and then wipe it out, and add the sauce.

Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Mix together the flour and 4 tablespoons water; stir into the sauce.
Reduce heat to medium low, add the chicken pieces, and simmer, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve over rice with steamed veggies or a salad.
Or you can ask for it at Dex's.
