Pineapple Sundae's, The Twisted Nether and Nat Pagle.

Listen to my interview on Twisted Nether Blogcast.
Where I talk about food, raiding and my loathing of Nat Pagle.
Make yourself my favorite ice cream sundae and enjoy!
This pineapple/ginger snap sundae will now be known as:
 The Twisted Nether Sundae

You will need:
4-5 Ginger snap cookies (crushed)
2 Pineapple rings (grilled)
I don't have a grill so I browned the pineapple in a pan on the stove.
You want to heat it long enough for it to start to brown and caramelize, about 3 minutes.

Place crushed cooking in a sundae dish.
Scoop vanilla ice cream on top.
Place warm caramelized pineapple in top.
Garnish with whipped topping and a cherry if desired.

Yum!

Skyrim ~ Sweet Roll

When planning this recipe my first thought was a cinnamon roll, that is what I thought the in game sweet roll looked like. But, I did not ant to make another cinnamon roll recipe so here is my take on Skyrim's sweet roll.

It is similar to a Hawaiian Sweet Roll but I altered the recipe a bit. I also iced one with some pineapple flavored icing but the rolls just plain are quite sweet and pineapple-y.

Here is the iced one.

You will need:

2 (.25 ounce) envelopes active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

3 eggs
11/2 cup pineapple juice
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

6 cups all-purpose flour

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.
Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
When it smells like funky beer. It's ready.

In a large bowl, beat the yeast mixture, eggs, pineapple juice, sugar, ginger, vanilla.

The is what the dough looks like after 3 cups of flour have been added.

Here is the full 6 cups.
Gradually stir in flour until a stiff batter is formed

Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours.
See how much higher it is. Yay!

Turn the dough onto a well floured surface. It will be sticky and stretchy. Use a knife or pull it apart to make balls.

Divide the dough into 2 - 2 1/2oz pieces and form loosely into round balls.
Don't have a food scale. It is about the 2 inches in diameter or you can cup it in the palm of your hand.
It doesn't have to be perfect.
You can eyeball them so they are close to the same size.

Place the balls into a lightly greased cake pans or dish.

Cover the rolls with a damp cloth and let rise until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until tops are golden brown.

Yum!

Tyrande Whisperwind's Ambrosia

TGF: I'd like to thank Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind for meeting with me. I always feel in awe whenever I step foot into the Temple, it is so beautiful here.

Tyrande: It's a please to have you here. You represent our night elves with honor and strength.
The Gamer's Fridge is very popular around here.

Malfurion: The Gamer's Fridge? Are you the one who got Garrosh all up in arms over his lemon squares.
Hahahaha. That made being referred to as "Antler McBeardly face" worth it, I think I could hear his great mother screaming at him from Ogrimmar.

TGF: Thank you so much Shan'do Stormrage I am a huge fan of yours, It's why I began my journey as a drui...

Tyrande: Ahem....Malfurion hasn't eaten much in the last 10,000 years. I'm afraid his knowledge in the kitchen is very limited.

Malfurion: Of course Tyrande is correct. </bows> I am pleased by your presence here and I look forward to sampling you & Tyrande's creations.

TGF: Tell my readers Tyrande, what is your favorite dish?

Tyrande: Ambrosia, It is served at many of our celebrations especially Lunar Festival.
