Succulent Pork Ribs

You will need:
Rack of baby back ribs
BBQ of your choice
I buy a tinfoil pan just for this. No clean up and it goes into the recycle bin after a quick rinse out.

Place rib into pan. I put a tablespoon or so of BBQ sauce first for the ribs to rest on. I pour the barbecue sauce over the ribs and let sit refrigerated for a hour before baking.

Bake covered in over at 300 degrees F (148 degrees C) for 90 minutes (hour and a half)
Pork is done when it reaches 160 degrees F (71 degrees C)

Yum!

Mr. Bubble's Shockingly Delicious Ice Cream

You will need:
Ice Cream (I used the strawberry in Neapolitan)

Pop Rocks! Again I used strawberry flavored of these as well.

Place a few scoops of ice cream into a bowl or a cone.

Sprinkle Pop Rocks on top and serve immediately. The Pop Rocks start popping on the ice cream you can hear it here.
It pops pretty loud, I was surprised. I didn't turn the ceiling fan off while filming. That is the windstorm sound effect you hear.

Pop Rocks and ice cream, who would have thought they would be so good together?

Pac-Man Popcorn Power Pellets

You will need:

2 quarts popped popcorn
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup dark corn syrup (or light corn syrup)
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Place popped popcorn in a large bowl; set aside.

In a heavy saucepan, combine brown sugar, water, corn syrup, butter and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Continue cooking, without stirring, until a candy thermometer reads 270 degrees F (132 degrees C)
Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla.

Pour over popcorn; stir until evenly coated. When cool enough to handle, quickly shape into balls.
I poured the caramel over the popcorn while it was still in the bowl. I stirred with two large spoons.

Then I dumped the bowl onto a cookie sheet and spread the popcorn out. You do have to do this very quickly.

It is hot, so please be careful. Use silicone oven mitts, gloves or anything to protect your hands if the heat is too much. The carmel is like lava. Delicious yummy painful lava.

Root Beer Tapper

It is weird that all my favorite video games are centered around food?

I stole, I mean borrowed, my husband's giant beer mug.

Fill it half full with vanilla ice cream. If you're feeling a bit adventurous use A&W Root Beer Ice Cream.

It'd delicious!

Add root beer till it over flows with foam. Wait, then add more!

Add two straws and share with a loved one.

BurgerTime Burgers

I've got the Atari out and I am ready to be eight years old again. Mmmm, Swedish fish and Hawaiian punch.

Oh, hey....back to burgers. right!

Ok, you guys! Down and dirty. Meat, I get mine from a local butcher.  Hence the white paper. I know, it's very Brady Bunch but you will see in the third photo. No grease. Hamburger from Walmart doesn't cook like that.

Form the meat into patties the size you want them and place into a hot pan on medium heat.

Cover and cook for 10 minutes or more on each side until done.  The burgers should have an internal temperature of  160 degrees F (72degrees C)

Wait a minute, one's missing.
RAAAAAY!

He claims it "fell apart" and it was "quality control".
He looks guilty...and full.

The assembly - BurgerTime style.

Pac-man Fruit Salad

This one was FUN! I have fond memories of playing Pac-Man as a child. I took the iconic fruit and sliced it up into bite size pieces.

Not to much direction needed for this recipe.

Cherries: I cut them in half and pitted them
Strawberries: I cut in half then sliced up the halves
Peaches: I cut in half, pitted and slices the halves
Apple: I cut in half then sliced up the halves
Grapes: Pluck off vine then toss into bowl

Please make sure you rinse off all the fruit first.

I hope you enjoy making and eating this creation as much as I did.
