Valley Stir Fry ~ World of Warcraft

You will need:
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon flour
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or butter
1 teaspoon ginger (I used powdered, if using minced use 1TBS)
1 teaspoon garlic (I used powdered, if using minced use 1TBS)
1 pound beef round steak, cut into thin strips
2 cups vegetables (I used carrots, beans and zukes)
In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, water and flour. Set aside.
Heat oil in a wok or skillet over medium high heat. Stir-fry ginger and garlic for 30 seconds.
Add the steak and stir-fry for 2 minutes or until evenly browned.
Add the vegetables and stir-fry for an additional 3 minutes.
Add the soy sauce mixture, bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Lower heat and simmer until the sauce is thick and smooth.
Serve over rice or egg noodles.

Yum!
I love stir fry's, they are so versatile that you can substitute chicken for the beef and any kind of vegetables.
The sauce is a must, this was my first time making it and everyone loved it.

Eggs and Onions Recipe: A Hobbit breakfast

Save some room for second breakfast, it's going to be delicious.

You will need:
1/2 cup Diced Onion
4 Eggs
Tab of Butter
Bacon and/or Small Sausages (Optional)

Add tab of butter to a pan on medium heat.
Dice up 1/2 cup onion and add to pan once butter has melted.

Saute onions until brown.

Crack eggs into a bowl and stir with a whisk or a fork to scramble.
Add eggs to cooked onions and mix.

This recipe is for 2 people.
I served with home fried potatoes and whole wheat toast.
Yum!
With this much food you won't need second breakfast.

BurgerTime Burgers

I've got the Atari out and I am ready to be eight years old again. Mmmm, Swedish fish and Hawaiian punch.

Oh, hey....back to burgers. right!

Ok, you guys! Down and dirty. Meat, I get mine from a local butcher.  Hence the white paper. I know, it's very Brady Bunch but you will see in the third photo. No grease. Hamburger from Walmart doesn't cook like that.

Form the meat into patties the size you want them and place into a hot pan on medium heat.

Cover and cook for 10 minutes or more on each side until done.  The burgers should have an internal temperature of  160 degrees F (72degrees C)

Wait a minute, one's missing.
RAAAAAY!

He claims it "fell apart" and it was "quality control".
He looks guilty...and full.

The assembly - BurgerTime style.

Red Speckled Mushrooms

 Cupcakes!

I used the white cake recipe from Conjured Mana Cakes. Instead of giant muffin pans, I used mini muffin pan.  Any size will work fine with these cakes.

I have a silicone baking pan. You do have to put in on a cookie sheet because it is so flexible but the cupcakes pop right out. It's pretty cool.

Fill then 3/4 full and bake foe 15 minutes or until tops are golden brown. You can tell cake is finished baking when it starts to pull away from the edges of the pan.

Pop them out and let them cool completely.

I bought the red icing you see here from a bakery. Making red icing is difficult, the food coloring that comes in pack of red, blue, green and yellow always make pastels no matter how much you put in.

I know my dots aren't perfect but I like them.

Kaldorei Spider Kabob

Baked Spider...mmmmm...as a night elf, I can't think of anything better.

If crunchy spider legs are readily available for you beef stew tips tastes the same. Cut the onion, red and green pepper into pieces and pierce onto the skewer in the following order:

green pepper
spider meat
onion
red pepper
spider meat
green pepper
spider meat
onion
red pepper

Bake at 350 degrees F (176 degrees C) for 25 minutes.
At 15 minutes take out the kabobs and flip slowly.
Don't want one side yummy and juicy and the top, jerky-like.
Bake for the remaining 10 minutes.
Cut into biggest chunk of meat to make sure it is cooked throughly.

I serve with white rice and a handful of crystalsong carrots. Cooked carrots aren't a favorite at my treehouse but raw with a bit of veggie dip gets devoured.

Crispy Bat Wings

Served with Crystalsong Carrots and a few tablespoons of veggie dip.

How to make Crispy Bat Wings.
Place eight chicken wings on a cookie sheet. I use a baking pad so the chicken doesn't stick.

Spice'em up! I used a garlic rub with dried mustard. Sprinkle it on & rub it in.

Bake in oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees F (176 degrees C). Place in broiler for a few minutes until crispy & browned. Cut open one wing at 20 minutes to see if it is done.

Noob warning! Make sure you watch the wings in the broiler very closely! They will burn faster then a 3 second cast.

Bread of the Dead

Bread of the Dead! How much fun is eating bread to honor the dead?!
A whole box full of fun, that's how much!

This was an easier recipe. Time consuming but simple especially since I used frozen bread dough. Yeast scares me, I am intimidated by it sea monkey like qualities.
(Alive in a packet but add water and they flourish. /cower)
I had some trouble getting the mouth stitching to stay put. I tried a bit of water to make it stick but ended up coating the tops with butter to seal it in and the butter will help brown the tops.

Baked at 350 degrees F (170 degrees C) for 15 minutes.

This is one of those recipes that I've never tried before and they didn't come out as defined as I would have wanted. You live & you learn, next time I wont let them rise as much & make the detail a bit bigger.

Don't get me wrong, they were delicious. Nothing better then a homemade dinner rolls with butter.
With the roll is still warm & the butter melts as soon at is touches the bread.

Yum!
