Seaweed Rolls ~ Star Wars The Old Republic

I know seaweed rolls are traditionally sushi rolls but I don't know how to make sushi. So I am offering these guys instead. These delicious savory dinner rolls are the best.

You will need:
loaf of frozen bread dough, thawed
bag of fresh spinach
2 tbs butter
2 tbs minced garlic
2 tbs Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheese

Cut the bread into twelve pieces then roll the pieces into long strips.

Take the spinach and saute it, You can find a recipe for it here.
This is where you will use the garlic and the Parmesan cheese.

Lay the spinach into the strips.

Sprinkle with cheese.

Roll the strips into spirals. Any cheese that falls off scoop up and put on-top of the rolls.

Bake for 10-15 minutes. Until golden brown.

Yum!

Fried Capellan Turg-rrot Root ~ Star Wars The Old Republic

Scrub up 4 large potatoes

Slice the potatoes into thin slices.

Heat a pan of oil until it sizzles when you flick water into it.
It should make a Shhhhhhhhhthhhhsssssssss sound if it is ready.

Submerge uncooked fries into hot oil until tender.

They will float to the top when they are done cooking, You can see it below.

Let dry on a rack or paper towels.
Salt and pepper to taste.

Elsweyr Fondue

You will need:

1 cup milk
2 tbs butter
1/2 pound shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 pound shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Simmer milk and butter in fondue pot or double boiler. If you set the cheese on an open heat source it may burn. Don't be afraid to take the cheese off the double boiler if it seems to be getting to hot.

Slice and cube the cheese that isn't already shredded.

Add Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, 1/4 pound at a time.

Stir after each addition of cheese until melted.
Stir in flour.
If the cheese is clumping add a teaspoon of lemon juice. The acid will smooth it out.

When all the cheese has melted, stir in salt and nutmeg.
Serve with cut-up bread like french, sour dough, garlic, grain, crackers, pretzels, Tuscan.
Serve with fruit and vegetables like green apples, carrots, grapes, broccoli, mushrooms, cauliflower.

I don't have a fondue pot so I did have to reheat mine. Fondue pots come with long skewer like forks.
When eating fondue you put your mount onto the food and slide it off with your lips. It is considered unsanitary to touch the skewer with your mouth.

Yum!

Anduin Wrynn's Favorite Mac and Cheese

He's not a child anymore but comfort food is comfort food in any world.

Are you often sent to gather things for people? I suppose a hero's work is never done.  - Anduin Wrynn

You will need:

16 ounce box of shell shaped noodles
8 ounces of Velveeta cheese, sliced
3/4 c milk
1/2 stick butter

In a large pot, put 6 cups of water on medium heat till it starts to boil. I Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the water to prevent sticking.

Once the water starts to boil, add the noodles.
Boil until softened.

Drain.

Put pan back on stove top and turn heat to low. Add milk and butter to pan, then noodles.

Place cheese on top. Stir until cheese is melted. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes so cheese can thicken.

Serve. Yum!

Hearty Onion Soup Recipe

This was the most amazing french onion soup I have ever had. I will never buy canned soup again. This soup takes about 45 minutes to make. It is so delicious and filling, you won't want anything else with this comforting soup.

You will need:

1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups sliced onions (1 large onion)
2 (10.5 ounce) cans beef broth ( I used a cup of water per beef cube)
salt and pepper to taste
2 slices toasted bread, toasted
2 slices Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Melt butter with olive oil in an 8 pot on medium heat and add onions.

Stir occasionally until onions are tender and browned.

Add beef broth. Season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 30 minutes.

Cover.

After the 30 minutes.

Heat the oven broiler.

Toast 2 slices of bread per bowl of soup.

Ladle soup into oven safe serving bowls and place one slice of bread on top of each (bread may be broken into pieces if you prefer). Please don't skip the toasting of the bread step, it will get very soggy if you don't.

Layer each slice of bread with a slice of  Swiss and 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese. Place bowls on cookie sheet and broil in the preheated oven until cheese bubbles and browns slightly.

YUM!
